Pioneer Group’s Colworth science park, located within the Oxford – Cambridge ‘Arc’, provides 320,000 sq ft of laboratories, R&D kitchens and offices. Colworth Park’s tenants include Unilever, who base one of their six global R&D centres at this site.
Pioneer Group appointed us to provide strategic engineering advice for the site and MEP design for a new laboratory building.
As part of the ongoing capital investment into the site and to contribute to Pioneer Group’s net zero carbon emissions goal we have developed concepts for a new site wide heating and cooling infrastructure using heat pumps and a 1.6 MW solar PV array located in the surrounding countryside.
